Homework: August 18, 2014

Homework: In your notes journal create a plot diagram for Speak. You should have each of the five parts of plot covered in this diagram ( exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, resolution). You are required to have ten rising action events and one to two falling action events. I have linked a sample plot diagram below.

Remember... you will present your character analysis posters tomorrow. Below is a list of things to keep in mind before presenting.


  1. Make eye contact - You should do this during the entire presentation.
  2. Clarity is key - All points made should be clear. Get to the point.  Make sure you have practiced what you are going to say. 
  3. Project your voice - Everyone in the class should be able to hear all of the information presented. 
  4. Do not read from the poster the entire time - You should be familiar with the information on your poster and should only use it as a guide.  
  5. There is no "I" in TEAM - Everyone in the group is responsible for presenting the information and answering any questions over on the material presented.
