- Complete the syllabus questionnaire - Finish the syllabus questionnaire. If you lost the handout it is available in the link below.
- Take notes - Below is a link to an active reading notes handout. Please add the notes on this handout to one of your composition notebooks. Remember do not label the outside of your notebooks. We will label all class materials in class next week. I have also provided a link of an example of what active reading notes should look like.
- Review Speak - Next week our primary focus will be the novel Speak. Please bring your copy with you to class Monday. In preparation for next week spend time this weekend reviewing the text and pay close attention to the bulleted items that were on the summer reading guidelines handout. Use the active reading notes handout to assist you in your review as well . Assessments in this class will be cumulative so it is always important to continue to review information / texts previously covered and read.
- Get paperwork completed - Remember syllabus signature sheets and parent & student surveys are due Wednesday, August 13, 2014.
